The 95,000 sq. ft. Sovereign Avenue School serves 750 children in the Atlantic City School District. The structure's stylized roofing sets it apart from more traditional school facilities. Designs for the steel framed building (including the attached gymnasium and cafetorium) required extra care, creativity, and design team coordination, as the site is both small and located in a barrier island hurricane and flood zone.
