The Marina Thermal Facility, owned by South Jersey Industries, is the principal element in a distinct new heating and cooling system designed to serve the expanding casino industry in Atlantic City. The plant boasts a capacity of 25,000 tons of cooling, 300,000 million BTU/hr of high temperature hot water production, and 8 MW of emergency power generation - enough to supply heating, cooling, and emergency power for the entire Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. CZAR Engineering LLC provided structural engineering services and construction monitoring for the panelized brick facade, louver and screen elements, and the curtain wall systems. These lend the Marina Thermal Facility a sleek look to match its innovative energy production capabilities.
